Jeff Hardy has been making headlines as of late because the former WWE Champion was released following an incident where he exited the ring and left through the crowd before his match was over at a WWE live event in Edinburg, TX. With Hardy’s peculiar exit there’s been a lot of talk about what exactly happened, and apparently some fans have speculated that Hardy got released on purpose.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful recently took to Twitter to address rumors that Jeff Hardy for fired on purpose, and he noted that according to people close to the situation Jeff wasn’t “working to get out of his deal.” The rumor was also called an “absurd take.”
It seems silly to address this at all, but according to those close with him I spoke to — Jeff Hardy wasn't trying to get fired from WWE. He wasn't "working to get out of his deal." The exact phrase I was given was that it was an "absurd take."
