A few weeks ago Stephanie McMahon announced WWE Evolution, and the company’s first ever all women’s pay-per-view is shaping up to be big.
It was recently confirmed that Alexa Bliss will be taking on WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus at the event, and the Mae Young Classic finals will also take place Evolution.
Ronda Rousey is one of the biggest names in the division right now, and it was reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that the current plan is for Rousey to face Nikki Bella at the pay-per-view.
The idea is that Nikki Bella and Ronda Rousey are the two biggest female stars in the company, so putting them in a main event match could potentially get a lot of mainstream attention.
The Raw Women’s Championship, SmackDown Women’s Championship, NXT Women’s Championship and NXT UK Women’s Championship will all be on the line at Evolution.
Tonight Ronda Rousey challenges Alexa Bliss for the Raw Women’s Championship, and if she manages to defeat Bliss she could very well walk into Evolution with the title.
