Roman Reigns has been one of the top stars in WWE for years and he’s certainly only enhanced his star power since taking on The Tribal Chief gimmick. Reigns is the leader of The Bloodline and recently the group faced off against The Brawling Brutes, Kevin Owens & Drew McIntyre at Survivor Series.
Following the WarGames match in the main event it was reported that Roman Reigns was upset about an unplanned spot with Kevin Owens that may have caused a ruptured eardrum.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Reigns was furious after the match and he went off on Kevin Owens. It’s being said that Reigns wasn’t just upset about the injury but also because it happened during a spot that he didn’t know about, and he didn’t think the spot made sense for the match. Some say that it blew over in 20 minutes, while others say that it didn’t completely blow over, but that’s not going to change WWE’s booking plans.
It’s also being reported that after Sami Zayn got over doing something that wasn’t supposed to be a long term gimmick Roman Reigns personally picked Zayn and Kevin Owens to work a long term program with. The idea was that Roman Reigns could have picked any two people on the roster to elevate.
Sami Zayn got the spot because he got over with the crowd and Owens got the spot because he’s a good performer who has history with Roman. It’s being said that Roman didn’t have to pick either of them, but he did. Despite Roman Reigns being mad about the unplanned spot it’s not expected that booking plans are going to change.
