WWE seems quite motivated to lock down their top stars as it was reported this week that Rey Mysterio, Dominik Mysterio and Charlotte Flair have all signed deals that will keep them with the company.
Haus of Wrestling is reporting that Rey Mysterio’s new WWE contract is a three year deal. It was also noted that despite his injuries Rey Mysterio plans to wrestle throughout his new contract.
Rey Mysterio had been working through a torn meniscus for about three months that worsened heading into his United States Championship match with Logan Paul at Crown Jewel back in November. Rey agreed to drop the title at Crown Jewel and then he was written off TV on the following episode of SmackDown when Santos Escobar turned heel. Mysterio then took time off to undergo surgery.
There’s potential for Rey Mysterio to return in time for the 2024 Royal Rumble, and the expectation is that he will pick up his feud with Santos Escobar when he returns to TV.
