The wrestling world had been patiently waiting for the location to be confirmed for WrestleMania 41 and over the weekend it was announced that the show will emanate from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 19 and April 20, 2025.
PWInsider is reporting that prior to Endeavor purchasing the company WWE had been looking at New Orleans, Las Vegas and Orlando, Florida as front-runners for potential WrestleMania locations over the next few years. It’s being said that was the original plan when John Saboor exited his role as WWE’s EVP of Special Events last year.
Minneapolis had made a major bid for WrestleMania 41 and it was looking like the likely location for the event before Endeavor bought WWE. The new owners wanted Las Vegas to the location for WrestleMania as the feeling is that it’s a more prestigious market. It’s now being said that Orlando and New Orleans are no longer locks for Mania moving forward.
In the future locations for WrestleMania will be based on rights fees, and how much money the company can get from markets and governments that big on the event. It’s believed that WWE President Nick Khan and his team would be receptive to the idea of holding WrestleMania in London if the city is willing to pony up the money.
Stay tuned for more updates on future WrestleMania locations as they become available.
