Last weekend a big storyline kicked off as a mystery man climbed into the cage during the main event at Survivor Series and attacked CM Punk. Following the show everyone has been talking about the mystery man’s identity and where the storyline could go from here.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Austin Theory was the man under the mask at Survivor Series. Paul Heyman wanted to bring Austin Theory into The Vision to make him a star, and to protect Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed from taking pins.
This doesn’t necessarily mean that Austin Theory will be revealed as the man under the mask. It was also noted that it probably won’t be Seth Rollins. If WWE drags the storyline out until January it’s possible that Chris Jericho could be revealed as the mystery man, which would immediately put him in a top position.
One way or another it will be interesting to see how things play out when the mystery man’s identity is finally revealed. Adam Pearce kicked off an investigation on the most recent episode of Raw, so it seems that this will be a top angle for the foreseeable future.
