Things are about to get shaken up in the title picture in WWE as the company recently introduced the WWE World Heavyweight Championship belt. Roman Reigns has been the only top champion in WWE for over a year now, but that will all change when a new champion is crowned at Night of Champions.
The WWE World Heavyweight Championship tournament kicked off last week, and it was determined that Seth Rollins and AJ Styles will be facing off in the finals at Night of Champions. There’s been a lot of talk about who will win the belt, and WRKD Wrestling recently reported that WWE is hesitant to put the title on Seth Rollins because he seems to be branching out into Hollywood as he recently scored a major role in the new Captain America movie.
The @BoozerRasslin Twitter account is now reporting that WWE has not yet made a decision regarding who will walk out of Night of Champions with the gold, but Seth Rollins is still the number one guy for Triple H.
“To clear all the commotion, no decision on who’s winning the WHC. Seth is the number one guy for [Triple] H. But the story is what matters. I said it a while back, plans to fill the void that [Roman] Reigns will leave soon with other huge names. So expect a surprising NOC. It will be great, trust me.”
