It’s no big secret that WWE hasn’t exactly managed their tag team division all that well over the last few years. Every once in a while a team gets over with the fans, but the division as a whole seems to mostly be treated as an afterthought.
However, some positive changes could be on the way for the division, as it was noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE officials told all the tag teams that they are going to be building up the division over the next few months.
As we saw on Monday, Heavy Machinery made their in-ring debut on Raw, The Revival got a tag team title shot, and WWE teased a Zack Ryder/Curt Hawkins reunion.
Last week The Revival reportedly requested to be released from WWE, and it’s believed that they’ve been frustrated with the lack of direction for the tag team division.
One way or another it will be interesting to see if WWE commits to improving the division over the next few months.
