Finn Balor has been the Intercontinental Champion ever since he won the belt at WrestleMania 35, but now that he’s holding the gold he’s got a target on his back.
It looks like Andrade will be in the IC Title mix, as Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Andrade and Finn Balor will likely continue their feud after the Money In The Bank pay-per-view.
Andrade pinned Balor to win a fatal 4 way match on SmackDown Live this week, and it was also noted that there is a lot of backing for Andrade and his character in WWE right now.
WWE officials have been high on Andrade for some time and have plans to push him.
It was rumored that Andrade would be challenging Finn Balor for the Intercontinental Title at Money In The Bank, but both men are currently booked to compete in the men’s MITB ladder match.
