The Rock shocked the world last week at the WrestleMania 40 press conference when he stepped up to Cody Rhodes and slapped The American Nightmare in the face. The Great One was still heated when he walked backstage as he then proceeded to get in Triple H’s face. It’s certainly an interesting time to be a Rock fan as the former WWE Champion recently confirmed via social media that he has indeed turned heel.
WrestleVotes is reporting that The Rock is expected to fully embrace his heel character and draw inspiration from the Hollywood Rock persona he used in the past.
WWE will also reportedly be releasing Rock branded “Cody Crybabies” merchandise. The expectation is that this is just the beginning of the story when it comes to The Rock turning heel.
WWE has confirmed that both The Rock and Roman Reigns will be appearing on Friday Night SmackDown this week. Stay tuned for updates.
