There’s only one WWE pay-per-view left on the schedule before 2019 comes to an end, and then all eyes will be looking ahead to the 2020 Royal Rumble.
The landscape has changed quite a bit over the last few months, and it sounds like fans can expect NXT to have a bigger presence at the Royal Rumble next year.
Bryan Alvarez noted on Wrestling Observer Live that the current plan for the 30 man and 30 woman Royal Rumble matches is to feature 10 Raw stars, 10 SmackDown stars and 10 NXT stars in each match.
The 2019 Royal Rumble pay-per-view featured 3 NXT stars in the men’s match, and half a dozen NXT stars in the women’s match.
The full NXT and NXT UK roster will be in town for the Worlds Collide event that weekend.
The WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view is set to air live on Sunday, January 26 from Houston, TX.
