After a few failed attempts, Roman Reigns finally managed to defeat Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at SummerSlam, and now Raw once again has a full time champion.
Roman has been on the receiving end of a big push for several years now, and it’s clear that WWE officials want him to be the top guy.
Sports Illustrated is reporting that current plans call for Roman Reigns to have a lengthy title reign.
Braun Strowman announced on Monday that he’ll be cashing in his Money in the Bank contract at Hell in a Cell, but it seems unlikely that Braun will be winning the title in September.
Strowman also turned heel on Monday when he worked with Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler to beat Roman down.
Drew McIntyre is expected to be the next challenger for the belt after Roman finishes his feud with Braun.
Roman recently reunited with The Shield, and The Shield are set to face off against Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre and Braun Strowman at Super Show-Down in October.
