When Jacob Fatu first debut with WWE last year he immediately had an impact. Since then Fatu has established himself as a force to be reckoned with and he managed to capture his first WWE championship when he defeated LA Knight to win the United States Title at WrestleMania 41.

Fatu put his title on the line recently when he defended the belt against LA Knight, Damian Priest and Drew McIntyre in a four way match at Backlash. Ultimately Fatu retained after Jeff Cobb debuted and gave him an assist.

However, Jacob Fatu looked less than thrilled with the fact that Cobb interfered, which led to him leaving without Cobb or Solo Sikoa by his side. It seems that tensions are high when it comes to Jacob and Jeff which seems to indicate that they could be on a collision course.

WrestleVotes discussed plans for a potential Jacob Fatu vs. Jeff Cobb match during a recent Q&A on Sportskeeda’s WrestleBinge and claimed that the match likely won’t be happening anytime soon.

“I wouldn’t say relatively soon. I’d say before the end of the year. Like Bill [Apter] said, they’ve got to introduce Jeff Cobb a little bit first. But I do think once that match does happen, it’s gonna be impressive. Those are 2 big boys, 2 bangers, I’m looking forward to it, just don’t know when.”

One way or another it will be interesting to see how the situation involving Jacob Fatu, Jeff Cobb and Solo Sikoa develops on this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

Stay tuned for updates.
