Backstage News On Plans For Kevin Owens’ Babyface Push

The last few months have been interesting for Kevin Owens. He returned to WWE programming as a face, but quickly turned heel a few weeks later.

This week on SmackDown Live, Kevin Owens cut a promo calling out Shane McMahon for taking TV time away from the rest of the roster, and at the en of the show he dropped Shane with a Stunner.

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Kevin Owens was never supposed to turn heel, and now the plan is to push him as a Steve Austin type babyface.

Owens has said recently that he wanted a longer run as a face, and now it seems that he’s getting his wish.

Are you looking forward to seeing more of KO as a face? Sound off in the comments below.
