WWE announced yesterday the The Icon Sting will be inducted into the 2016 WWE Hall of Fame class. So who else will be joining this year’s class?
According to PWInsider The Fabulous Freebirds are also likely to be inducted this year. There has been some discussion about whether or not Jimmy Garvin would be inducted with the rest of the group. But thanks to Michael Hayes it appears that Garvin will be inducted alongside Hayes, Buddy Roberts and Terry Gordy. The Freebirds have been rumored for the 2016 class for quite some time.
JBL and Stan Hansen are also names that are being discussed for the 2016 class. It’s said that JBL isn’t a lock but that many within the company wouldn’t be surprised to see him inducted this year.
It’s also worth noting that Vader has been teasing the WWE Hall of Fame on Twitter recently creating speculation that he might be inducted. But there has been reportedly no indication from WWE that his name is being brought up as a possible inductee this year.
