WrestleMania weekend is almost here, and fans know that when WrestleMania comes around they can expect to see some big names on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
Last year WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg dropped the Universal Title to Braun Strowman at WrestleMania 36, but this year Goldberg is not on the card.
Goldberg last wrestled when he challenged Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, and McIntyre managed to pick up the victory.
Fightful Select reports that at one point there were plans for Goldberg to have a rematch with Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 37. It was also noted that those plans were only briefly discussed, and that Goldberg’s name wasn’t mentioned in regards to the WrestleMania card after February.
Drew McIntyre will be challenging Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 37, and they will face off during Night 1 which will take place on Saturday, April 10.
Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
