This week’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw took place from the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, MN and it continued the build for the Extreme Rules premium live event.
Fightful Select reports that at one point AJ Styles & Rey Mysterio vs. The Judgement Day was discussed for the main event slot on the show. It was noted that originally Asuka, Alexa Bliss and Bianca Belair were set to accompany Candice LeRae to the ring.
There was said to have been an interesting production mandate for the women’s segments with only 8 to 10 foot ladders being allowed for use on TV. There’s currently no word on whether or not Montez Ford’s injury is legitimate, but it has been confirmed that the walking boot was brought in by the prop department.
Daniel Cormier is set to be the special guest referee for the Fight Pit match involving Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle at Extreme Rules, and Cormier’s appearance on Raw this week was a pre-tape.
