This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite took place from Philadelphia, PA but it doesn’t sound like everything went according to plan. Hurricane Ian impacted plans for the show and Tony Khan stated that those who lived in the Florida area were not required to attend AEW Dynamite this week.
According to Fightful Select, Grapsody’s Will Washingston shared some insight on how the hurricane affected plans for the show. The report noted that former AEW Tag Team Champion Swerve Strickland was supposed to be at the show, but he wasn’t able to attend because he couldn’t travel to Dynamite. His partner Keith Lee however was featured on the show as he appeared in a segment with The Acclaimed.
Current ROH TV Champion Samoa Joe was also supposed to be at the event, but couldn’t make it. This week’s episode of Dynamite put a spotlight on ROH as Chris Jericho flaunted his ROH World Title and defended it against former ROH World Champion Bandido in the main event.
