NXT has been airing on the WWE Network on Wednesday nights for years now, and in October All Elite Wrestling’s weekly TV series is set to air on Wednesdays on TNT.
Recently there’s been a lot of talk about NXT possibly moving to FS1, and PWInsider recently reported that the idea of NXT moving to USA Network has also been pitched.
The idea would be for NXT to become a live two hour show that takes place from Full Sail University, and it could debut on October 2, the same day as AEW’s debut on TNT.
It’s also being reported that some people in WWE believe that NXT on USA is a done deal, and it’s only a matter of time before it’s announced, while others are saying that a deal is not close to done.
There was said to have been interest from FOX, but USA entered the picture over the last several weeks.
NXT staff in Florida have been told to prepare for a longer show, and that things could be changing soon.
One source noted that NXT is planning to tape on Wednesday, September 11 and the should could easily go live that day and then tape following episodes the next day on September 12.
At this point it’s not confirmed that NXT will end up on USA or FS1, but it’s expected that an announcement regarding the future of NXT will be made sooner than later.
