With so many agents currently circulating throughout the wrestling world there are a lot of possibilities in regards to who could potentially show up on AEW Dynamite. A few weeks ago MJF was teasing a mystery opponent for Wardlow who turned out to be W. Morrisey. The Impact Wrestling star lost to Wardlow on the May 4th episode of Dynamite, but it sounds like there was originally a different name who was pitched for the spot.
Fightful Select reports that Killer Kross was approached for the match with Wardlow. However, the two sides could not come to an agreement. Kross was reportedly approached by AEW after Tony Khan said he would be open to working with Kross and Scarlett during the ROH Supercard Of Honor post-show media scrum.
There were tentative plans for Killer Kross to work the May 4th show, but those plans fell apart as the show got closer. Kross was reportedly made aware that Scarlett would not be part of the appearance and was concerned that his AEW debut would mimic his WWE main roster debut against Jeff Hardy.
It’s being said that Killer Kross is on good terms with AEW and the two sides could work together in the future.
