WWE has been going through some major changes over the last few months, and Belt Fan Dan recently took to Twitter to report that changes are coming for some of the WWE title belts.
Fightful Select reports that there are currently three sets of title belts that are finished and in hand at WWE. Belt Fan Dan noted that a couple of those sets are new tag team belts featuring the existing design with black straps, dual plates and a big WWE logo in the middle. WWE sources also reportedly noted that other alterations have been made, but no further details were shared.
WWE talent who spoke on the subject noted that they’ve been in favor of the company making changes to the title belts. In regard to WWE using velcro instead of snaps on the belts several talent said that the velcro is helpful, but looks bad from a cosmetic standpoint.
The plans to utilize new belt designs were reportedly put in motion before the new regime took over. However, with Triple H making changes it seems that plans for new belts have been accelerated.
Additional changes to things on Raw, SmackDown and NXT could becoming as well such as the recently updated NXT logo. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
