Backstage News On New Rule For WWE Releases

Over the last few years WWE has released a massive amount of Superstars from the roster, but new talents have also been signed to WWE. A new regime is in charge of WWE and it seems that they will be keeping a close on eye on how new talents are progressing.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that there’s a new rule in NXT that everyone has two years to become good enough for NXT TV or they will end up getting cut.

It was noted that this might not end up being a hard-and-fast rule, but it applies to everyone who will be signed moving forward and people who have already started out. There are said to be a lot of people right now who are “on the clock.”

One way or another it will be interesting to see how often WWE releases occur in the years to come as they’ve happened frequently since 2020. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
