Lars Sullivan has been surrounded by controversy ever since he joined the main roster. Shortly after he was called up some offensive comments he made on a Bodybuilding.com message board years ago surfaced online, and Lars ended up taking some time off.
WWE issued a statement on Sullivan’s offensive comments, and the company noted in the statement that he had been fined $100,000.
Recently Lars Sullivan started trending once again after it was revealed that he once filmed an adult video under the name Mitch Bennett. He later deleted his Twitter account.
Fightful is reporting that several wrestlers reached out to them to see how he was handling the news, but Fightful didn’t have an update on his current status.
However, several wrestlers reportedly told Fightful that Lars was incredibly apologetic when the message board posts surfaced online. He allegedly sought out family members that were backstage or on the roster that he made comments about and apologized to them
The wrestlers who commented on the situation noted that Lars attributed his comments to him, “being stupid and trolling on the internet.”
Lars is currently out of action recovering from an injury. It’s not clear when he’ll be returning.
