John Cena’s farewell tour kicked off back in January, and it’s been a wild ride so far. As of this writing John Cena only has 8 appearances left on his farewell tour and he is expected to be at Friday Night SmackDown this week in Chicago, IL.
Ahead of this week’s show WrestleVotes is reporting that some within WWE are quietly expecting Cena’s appearance on Friday to be his final appearance on SmackDown. A source noted that it’s unlikely John Cena will be appearing on another episode of SmackDown as he will only have 7 dates remaining on his farewell tour with just two that have yet to be announced.
“We’re told some within WWE are quietly expecting tomorrow night to be John Cena’s final SmackDown. According to a source, with only seven remaining dates left—and just two yet to be announced—it’s unlikely another will be a SmackDown event, meaning Cena will have debuted and ended his run on the blue brand in the very same building, Chicago’s Allstate Arena.”

As of right now the confirmed dates for John Cena’s retirement tour are as follows:
WWE SmackDown – September 5th
WWE Monday Night Raw – September 15th
WWE WrestlePalooza – September 20th
WWE Crown Jewel – October 11th
WWE Survivor Series – November 29th
WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event – December 13th
With only two more appearances yet to be announced it will be interesting to see where else John Cena shows up on the road to his retirement in December.
