Backstage News On Jacob Fatu’s Status Following Injury Scare At SummerSlam

Anticipation was at an all time high heading into SummerSlam on Saturday night as Cody Rhodes defended his Undisputed WWE Championship against Solo Sikoa on a Bloodline Rules match. Cody ultimately retained after Roman Reigns interfered, but at one point Jacob Fatu jumped off the top rope and sent Cody crashing through the announce table with a splash.

After Jacob Fatu connected with the splash he indicated that he was in pain as he grabbed his leg, and he was also spotted wearing a walking boot after the show.

Fightful Select reports that originally Jacob Fatu was planning to sell his leg injury following the splash into the announce table during the SummerSlam main event. It’s not clear at this point in time if Jacob Fatu was planning to sell the injury to the extent that fans saw during the broadcast.

It’s worth noting that Jacob Fatu was spotted wearing a walking boot following the Undisputed WWE Championship match that main evented SummerSlam on Saturday night.

Stay tuned for more updates on Jacob Fatu’s status as they become available.
