The Royal Rumble pay-per-view has come and gone, and fans were treated to some interesting moments during the men’s and women’s Royal Rumble matches. However, it seems that not everything went as planned.
Former SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley entered the women’s Royal Rumble at number one, and she lasted a little over 29 minutes. Bayley was eliminated by Bianca Belair and she was eliminated while Mickie James was making her entrance, and WWE missed the elimination.
PWInsider reports that originally plans called for Bayley to last longer in the match, likely until after Mickie James had entered.
It’s being reported that Bayley was the only wrestler who was taken out of the match earlier than originally planned.
Bayley was the 12th elimination in the match, and during her time in the ring she only managed to eliminate one other wrestler, Ruby Riott.
