Over the last few years NXT has come a long way as the show expanded to two hours and now airs live most weeks on USA Network. NXT also runs its share of premium live events throughout the year the most recent of which was NXT Halloween Havoc.
Andrew Zarian of the Wrestling Observer recently noted on Twitter that Halloween Havoc was NXT’s most viewed standalone premium live event since WWE started streaming content on Peacock. He clarified that by standalone he meant a NXT premium live event that ran on a weekend with no main roster premium live event.

Zarian went on to add that NBC Universal executives were “encouraged” that additional promotion for the show resulted in additional viewership. It’s also being said that the overall attitude towards NXT from NBC Universal has been very positive in recent weeks.
