Triple H is set to face The Undertaker for the last time ever at Super Show-Down on Saturday, and Shawn Michaels will be in Triple H’s corner.
Over the last few weeks there’s been a lot of talk about Shawn Michaels coming out of retirement, and he’s expected to team up with Triple H to take on the Brothers of Destruction at Crown Jewel in November.
Even though plans for HBK’s return to the ring are just starting to come together, it seems that the idea has been in the works for a while now.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter (via CageSideSeats) notes that the idea was always to build toward DX vs. the Brothers of Destruction at Crown Jewel, with the idea being that the tag team match will lead to a singles match where Michaels will face Undertaker.
In the end Triple H’s match with The Undertaker was never really about Undertaker vs. Triple H.
