Fans waited a long time to see The Undertaker and Goldberg face off in a one on one match, and it finally happened a few months ago at Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia.
Unfortunately the match will be remembered for all the wrong reasons, as Goldberg was busted open early and some of the spots looked a little scary to say the least.
Goldberg hasn’t appeared on WWE programming since Super ShowDown, but Dolph Ziggler did take a shot at the WWE Hall of Famer this week on SmackDown when he said Shawn Michaels’ performance in his last match was “as embarrassing as Goldberg in a wrestling ring.”
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that WWE added the line to the script because there are “bad feelings” internally about Goldberg following his match with Undertaker.
SmackDown Live is set to move to FOX in October, and it’s expected that WWE will be bringing some big names in for the first show on the new network.
Dave Meltzer noted that when he asked if Goldberg would be appearing on the show the answer was an emphatic no.
