This week’s episode of WWE SmackDown Live was the go-home show for Super ShowDown, and former Universal Champion Bill Goldberg made his first ever appearance on the show.
Bill made his way out to the ring at the end of the show and he cut a promo hyping up his match against The Undertaker at Super ShowDown on Friday.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Golberg’s promo on SmackDown Live was not scripted. Bill was reportedly using his own words, and he has a deal that is similar to Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman where he has creative freedom with his promos.
The Undertaker also made a surprise appearance on SmackDown Live this week when the lights went out and he appeared behind Goldberg, then disappeared shortly after.
Goldberg hasn’t wrestled since he dropped the Universal Championship to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 33, and The Undertaker hasn’t wrestled since he teamed up with Kane to face DX at Crown Jewel in November of 2018.
Their face off on Friday will be the first ever match between Goldberg and The Undertaker. Will you be watching?
