A few years ago WWE signed a deal with Saudi Arabia and since then the company has delivered two annual events in Saudi Arabia with 2020 being the exception. Goldberg has competed in some big matches at WWE’s events in Saudi Arabia and he’s expected to face Bobby Lashley at Crown Jewel later this month.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Goldberg has a special deal for the Saudi Arabia shows, and it’s said to be very lucrative.
It was also noted that if WWE were to pull the Lashley vs. Goldberg match and put it on TV then Goldberg would not be happy as there would be “millions of dollars of difference” in regard to how much he would be making.
WWE has yet to make the match official, but Goldberg has been confirmed for an appearance on Raw tonight, so it’s probably safe to say that the match will be made official sooner than later.
