Backstage News On Former Impact World Champion’s New Deal, Vince McMahon Congratulates Charlotte

Impact Wrestling has lost quite a few of its top stars over the last few years, but the company recently announced that former Impact World Champion Eli Drake has signed a contract extension.

It looks like his new contract is much more than just a short contract extension, as the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Eli Drake has signed a multi-year deal with the company.

It’s being said that the company held off on pushing him over the last few months because they were unsure if he would be leaving or not. Eli Drake has had interest from WWE, but ultimately he ended up signing a new deal with Impact.

Former SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair has been getting a lot of attention for the photo shoot she did for ESPN’s Body Issue, and Vince McMahon recently took to Twitter to congratulate her.
