It’s been a huge week for WWE for a number of reasons, but right now Dean Ambrose is a very hot topic because he gave his notice to the company over the weekend and informed WWE officials that he will not be signing a new contract.
WWE later confirmed the news by issuing a statement saying Dean will be done with the company in April.
Dave Meltzer discussed WWE’s statement on Wrestling Observer Radio and noted that some talents in WWE think it’s a work because the company posted the announcement on their website, but as far as he knows Dean’s departure is legitimate.
It was also noted that WWE could technically freeze his contract because he missed time due to injury, but as of right now it seems that the company will part ways with Ambrose in the spring, as the official statement declared that he’ll be leaving in April.
Dean is friends with Cody Rhodes and Chris Jericho, and it’s been speculated that if he does indeed become a free agent in April, then there will be interest from AEW.
It’s being said that Dean is unhappy, and just wants out because he doesn’t care about the money.
