Cody Rhodes has had a target on his back ever since he defeated John Cena to become a two time WWE Champion. Since then Drew McIntyre has had his sights set on The American Nightmare and the two stars have been locked in a heated feud since August.
At this point Cody Rhodes clearly has the upper hand in the feud as he successfully defended his Undisputed WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre at WrestlePalooza in August, and Saturday Night’s Main Event in November. Even though Cody has picked up some decisive victories over The Scottish Warrior it appears that their feud is far from over.
Bodyslam is reporting that Cody’s feud with Drew McIntyre is set to continue and another match is expected to take place very soon. It’s being said that specific details regarding the match are being kept tight, but the expectation is the next Cody vs. Drew match will have significant storyline implications for both men.
At the moment Cody Rhodes is focused on the upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13th as he’s set to face off against NXT Champion Oba Femi in a non-title match. One way or another it will be interesting to see where things go when it comes to his feud with Drew as it sounds like business is about to pick up from a storyline perspective.
