At SummerSlam, Becky Lynch turned heel and attacked Charlotte Flair, but the fans didn’t boo Becky, instead they cheered her.
Since then Becky has been showing a different side of herself, and the fans have continued to show their support for her.
Despite the fact that Becky is getting a lot of love from the fans, it sounds like current plans call for her to work as a heel.
John Pollock of Post Wrestling is reporting that following the reaction Becky received at SummerSlam, the idea was to make Becky and Charlotte’s feud about their issues rather than push Becky as a heel.
The directive was for Becky to be portrayed as a “Stone Cold” type character, with the idea that she would be cheered, but that has reportedly changed.
Even though Becky isn’t being received as a heel by the fans, she’s still considered a heel, and there are no plans for Charlotte to turn heel during their feud.
