The wrestling business has gone through some major changes over the last few months, and although fans have seen a number of WWE stars jump to AEW over the last few years, many are wondering if we could see AEW stars jump to WWE now that a new regime is in charge.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that most of the key AEW talent are under contracts for a lengthy period of time. Most of the original cast such as The Young Bucks and Adam Page signed three year deals with two year options which would keep them under contract until 2023. In theory MJF’s deal would end around the same time, but everyone is being quiet when it comes to his status.
The one exception is Kenny Omega who signed a four year deal in February of 2019. In theory Omega’s deal would end in February, but AEW has extended contracts for people who have been out of action for lengthy periods of time.
AEW as the right to extend Omega’s contract for 9 months, but there’s been indication one way or another if that’s going to happen. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
