CM Punk has been out of action since January, but the former WWE Champion has been making appearances on TV from time to time over the last few months. Punk has been involved in a heated feud with Drew McIntyre for some time now and fans are anxious to see the two stars face off inside the ring.
PWInsider is reporting that CM Punk was spotted at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando on Wednesday. According to the report CM Punk was in the ring and working toward getting cleared by WWE medical.
Dave Meltzer recently noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Punk may have been cleared on Wednesday. However, as of Monday he was not cleared, but WWE was going with the idea Punk would be cleared with Punk vs. Drew McIntyre being a likely match for SummerSlam next month.
WWE has announced that CM Punk will be returning to Monday Night Raw next week in Green Bay, WI so it will be interesting to see what he has to say. Stay tuned for updates.
