Following his physical altercation with The Elite after the All Out pay-per-view CM Punk’s status with AEW has been in doubt. Punk recently got people talking when he posted a clip about forgiving people while keeping your distance from them on Instagram. Whether or not CM Punk will end up returning to AEW remains to be seen, but it seems that he and The Elite are still not on the same page.
Dave Meltzer recently discussed the current situation with CM Punk and The Elite on Wrestling Observer Radio and he noted that there has been no movement when it comes to the two sides possibly mending fences.
“A lot of damage done, there’s a lot of mending of fences that needs to be done, and there’s been no mending of fences. At all.
“It’s a big situation, because Punk could be back in two months, then there’s a decision. That’s gonna be a big story, how that goes down, or doesn’t go down.”
