On Tuesday the All Elite Wrestling Double Or Nothing Rally took place from Jacksonville, FL, and the event ended with a huge surprise when Chris Jericho took the stage to announce that he’s all in with All Elite.
Jericho later appeared in a video where he signed his AEW contract alongside Tony Khan.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that it looks like Jericho may have recently decided to sign with All Elite Wrestling, because he was reportedly negotiating with WWE just a few weeks ago.
WWE has responded to Chris Jericho signing with AEW by moving his profile to the alumni section of their website.
At this point it’s not clear how long Jericho has signed with AEW for, but he noted he’s with the company for the “long haul” and that it’s not about the money, it’s about doing something different.
It’s believed that most AEW stars are signing exclusive deals with the company, but it looks like Jericho’s deal may be different, as he’s still interested in working with New Japan Pro Wrestling.
