Brock Lesnar dropped the Universal Championship to Roman Reigns at SummerSlam a few weeks ago, and after that things went quiet on the Brock Lesnar front.
But on Sunday night he made his return to WWE at Hell in a Cell when he interfered in the main event and attacked Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman.
WWE then announced the next night on Raw that Brock Lesnar will be facing Reigns and Strowman in a triple threat match for the Universal Title at WWE Crown Jewel in November.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that the Brock Lesnar deal was not a last minute deal, and it was expected prior to SummerSlam that Vince McMahon would be making a big offer for Brock to work Crown Jewel and WrestleMania.
Although it’s not clear exactly when the two sides agreed on the deal, it’s believed that it was put together a few weeks ago.
With all of the money going around between UFC and WWE, Brock Lesnar is reportedly looking to sign short term deals with the idea that he can play both sides.
Prior to his WWE return, Lesnar had been training with the idea that he would be fighting in UFC in early 2019.
