Last month at SummerSlam, Brock Lesnar dropped the Universal Championship to Roman Reigns, and then he disappeared.
It seemed that Lesnar was stepping away from WWE to focus on his UFC return, but Sunday night at Hell in a Cell he made a surprise return during the main event.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that the end of the match wasn’t just thrown together, it was something that’s been in the works (via Ringside News).
“This is not a last-minute deal. It’s something that they had set up at some point this was not just thrown together at the end. So they were always going to do this no-contest on this show.”
As far as what’s next for Brock Lesnar, it’s rumored that he could be facing Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns in a triple threat match at WWE Super Show-Down or Surivor Series.
