Backstage News On Brock Lesnar’s Multi-Year Deal With WWE, His Return To UFC

Brock Lesnar successfully defended the WWE Universal Championship against Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 34 on Sunday night, which surprised a lot of people because Dana White recently said that Brock will be fighting in UFC again.

It was announced today that Brock Lesnar has signed a new contract with WWE, and that he will be defending his title against Roman Reigns in a steel cage match at the Greatest Royal Rumble on April 27.

Steven Meuhlhausen of Sporting News is reporting that Brock signed a multi-year contract, and that multiple sources are claiming The Beast will also be able to fight in UFC.

Brock Lesnar will have to reenter the USADA drug testing pool and finish out the rest of his suspension due to the failed tests from his last fight, but it’s being reported that the plan is for him to fight once this year and face the winner of Stipe Miocic vs. Daniel Cormier at UFC 226.

It seems that history is repeating itself as Brock Lesnar found himself in a similar position prior to signing his last WWE contract, but ultimately he signed a new deal with WWE and retained his title at WrestleMania 31. After publicly saying he was considering a return to UFC, he was allowed to fight in the octagon at UFC 200.

As far as future plans go for Brock in WWE, it’s rumored that WWE officials are interested in setting up a match that would see Brock Lesnar face Bobby Lashley.
