Over the last few weeks fans have seen some noteworthy debuts on AEW programming as both MVP and Shelton Benjamin have joined the promotion. With the arrival of MVP and Shelton Benjamin it was rumored that Bobby Lashley wasn’t far behind, and the former WWE Champion officially debuted during this week’s episode of Dynamite.
Bobby Lashley made his presence felt when he confronted Swerve Strickland and beat down the former AEW World Champion alongside the rest of The Hurt Syndicate.
Fightful Select reports that the debut was considered and planned for the WrestleDream pay-per-view at one point. However, the decision was made to delay Bobby Lashley’s debut due to how the show ended with the retirement of Bryan Danielson.
According to the report Bobby Lashley signed his deal with All Elite Wrestling back in September shortly before MVP made his debut with the company at Grand Slam.
