Becky Lynch had been out of action for over a year, but The Man made her surprise return to WWE at the SummerSlam pay-per-view on Saturday night. Lynch challenged Bianca Belair to an impromptu title match, and she squashed Belair in a matter of seconds to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
It was later reported that current plans call for Becky Lynch to work as a heel on the SmackDown brand moving forward. F4Wonline.com is now reporting that the plan is indeed for Lynch to turn heel, and that Becky Lynch is the one who requested the heel turn.
Original plans reportedly called for Becky Lynch to make her return to WWE programming at some point in October, but plans were changed after WWE found out Sasha Banks would not be able to compete at SummerSlam.
