CM Punk is once again making headlines as it was recently reported that the former WWE Champion has been in talks with All Elite Wrestling, and it looks like at least one other promotion tried to work with Punk as well.
According to Fightful Select, Ring of Honor officials reached out to CM Punk about possibly working with the company in January of 2020. Marty Scurll, who was the head booker at the time, reportedly sent feelers out to Punk.
It’s being said that the talks between CM Punk and ROH did not go very far, but people in ROH noted that story, opponents, and plans were more important to Punk than the money that was being offered.
CM Punk parted ways with WWE in 2014 and has yet to return to the wrestling business. Stay tuned for updates.
