A few weeks ago Stephanie McMahon made a huge announcement when she revealed that the first ever women’s Royal Rumble match is set to take place at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view in just a few weeks.
Kurt Angle also recently confirmed that the big match will feature 30 competitors fighting for a title shot at WrestleMania 34.
With only so many names on the main roster, it’s expected that some names from the past will be returning, and that stars from NXT could be entering the match as well.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that NXT talents have been told that nine women from NXT will be competing in the first ever women’s Royal Rumble match. However, at this point in time it’s not know which NXT stars will be appearing in the match.
Kurt Angle teased that he was talking to a name from the past on Raw, and it was recently reported that WWE officials have been in contact with former Women’s Champions Molly Holly and Michelle McCool.
