The week after WrestleMania is always exciting for wrestling fans, because they know they’re guaranteed to get a few surprises on Raw and SmackDown Live. This week on Raw, Finn Balor returned, Kurt Angle became the new General Manager, and former NXT Tag Team Champions, The Revival, finally arrived on the main roster.
SmackDown Live didn’t disappoint either, because Erick Rowan returned, and both Tye Dillinger and Shinsuke Nakamura were called up to the main roster.
Next week should be interesting as well, because Vince McMahon has announced the Superstar Shake-up which will see stars from Raw and SmackDown Live switch brands. The shake-up will also reportedly feature another NXT call up.
Kassius Ohno recently defeated Elias Samson in a “Loser Leaves NXT” match and Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Samson is expected to join either the Raw or SmackDown Live brand next week. It was also noted that Andrade “Cien” Almas is another name who is being considered for a call up.
It should be interesting to see who gets called up when it’s all said and done, as plans are always in-flux. There are a few top stars who are expected to switch brands, and it was noted that as of yesterday the company made more changes in regards to which top stars will be moving.
