This year’s WWE Hall of Fame Class is shaping up to be a big one, and there are some surprising names on the list.
Former WWE Universal Champion Bill Goldberg was the first name announced for this year’s class, and his induction is a testament to how far his relationship with WWE has come over the last few years. There was once a point in time where Bill, and his fans, thought he would never wrestle another match inside a WWE ring, but his return proved once again that you can never say never in the world of professional wrestling.
It’s also been confirmed that The Dudley Boyz will be inducted this year, which seems like a no brainer when you look back at their legendary career, and the same can be said for Ivory.
Jeff Jarrett was announced earlier this week, and he is without a doubt the most surprising name on the list.
Most of the rumors regarding who would be inducted this year have turned out to be true, and it’s expected that more announcements will be made in the weeks to come.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that so far the only names from the early lists who have yet to be announced are Bam Bam Bigelow and Kid Rock.
It’s worth noting that WWE has been using Kid Rock’s music to promote WrestleMania 34 in some of the latest video packages, so for better or worse it looks like he could be added to the Celebrity Wing at the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony this year.
The WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony will air on the WWE Network on Friday, April 6.
