Summer is almost here which means WWE will be diving deep into their big summer storylines. One of their summer angles is already in development, and Raw General Manager Kurt Angle is the focus of the story.
Angle has been receiving strange and mysterious text messages as of late, and it’s believed that the storyline will end up bringing Stephanie McMahon back to television. It was recently reported that the storyline could lead to a WrestleMania match between Triple H and Kurt Angle, but now it looks like we could be seeing Kurt Angle’s return to the ring much sooner.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that WWE officials want to make SummerSlam as big as possible this year, which means the company will be bringing back part-timers for the event.
With the push for SummerSlam to be as big as possible this year, there’s a lot of talk that the Triple H vs. Kurt Angle match will get moved up to SummerSlam.
Other matches rumored for the SummerSlam card include John Cena challenging Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship, and Brock Lesnar defending the Universal Championship against Braun Strowman.
