The stars of WWE recently traveled overseas for the European tour, but two members of the SmackDown Live roster didn’t make it to the end of the tour.
Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn were both sent home early after they made an error during a SmackDown Live taping, but they later returned to TV on the following episode of SmackDown.
Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens have been big players on the blue brand ever since the Hell in a Cell main event in October, but they were relegated to the kickoff show at the Survivor Series pay-per-view, and they later appeared in the main event when they attacked Commissioner Shane McMahon.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the controversy surrounding Kevin Owens from the incident that got him sent home is said to be gone. However, that’s not the case for Sami Zayn.
Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn both fought The New Day in a handicap match on SmackDown Live this week, and after the match Owens managed to get away while Sami found himself on the wrong end of a beatdown.
With the next pay-per-view being a SmackDown Live exclusive, it will be interesting to see how Owens and Zayn are booked at Clash of Champions next month.
